Meet Our Investment Management Team

Kenneth Blazick, AIF
Chief Investment Officer 

Ken began his financial services career in Colorado in 2008 with Partners Capital Management, specializing in the accumulation and protection of retirement assets. In 2010, he moved home to Lewiston, NY as an associate with Lincoln Financial Group. Ken joined The Horizon Group in 2011 with an intense interest in research and investment management.  As Chief Investment Officer, he works closely with fund managers and industry experts to create and maintain the firmís model portfolios.  He also chairs the Investment Policy Committee.

Ken has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from Niagara University and resides in the Park Ave. area of Rochester. Much of Ken's free-time is dedicated to his passion; reading and researching investment theories and strategies.  He also raises money to benefit Camp Good Days and the Wounded Warrior Project through golf tournaments and participating in extreme marathons, ultra-marathons, and other endurance events.


Michael Congdon
Quantitative Analyst

Michael Congdon, MBA, is a member of the Investment Policy Committee.   He serves to interpret data, performs statistical modelling of our portfolios, and applies a mathematical approach to help Ken test and refine investment theories.

He received his Masters degree from Binghamton in 2013 and graduated from LeMoyne in 2010 with dual majors in Finance and Applied Management Analysis.  Michael spent four years with Cadaret Grant, first as a college intern and then as a full time clerk in their trading department before accepting a financial analyst position with National Grid.   He enjoys spending time in the Adirondacks and Thousand Islands, and is an avid fan of the Syracuse Orange and Buffalo Bills.


Brian Novellin
Director of Trading

Brian began his financial services career in 2011 with Ameriprise Financial, where he rose to oversee all money management operations of an award winning financial planning practice.  At the Horizon Group, he is responsible for processing transactions, minimum distributions, portfolio rebalancing, and executing all trades.  Brian also serves as secretary of the Investment Policy Committee.  He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance at SUNY Brockport in 2012.

Brian resides in Greece and enjoys Geva Theatre and our local wineries.  He is an avid sports fan and participates in volleyball and flag football leagues.
